Book Review: Jack Templar Monster Hunter, The Templar Chronicles Book 1

As the cover says, if you’re not a monster hunter, put this book down immediately.  You you should listen to the warning from author Jeff Gunhus.

I would like to add, if you don’t believe in monsters or are unsure if they exist, you will know for sure after reading Jack Templar Monster Hunter Book 1. From the moment Jack steps into the pages of the book, the reader is thrown into a world where monsters do exist and their main goal in life is to kill you. Jack is quite unaware of his lineage and fate until strange things happen to him such as being able to take care of the school bully with one punch.

If you have a middle grade reader (boy or girl) they will probably pick this book up and read it one sitting. Lots of action, a little romance, friendship, fear, anticipation, mystery and a little monster fighting go on and keep this story moving forward.

You might as well buy all three books at once because when you finish book 1, you’ll be ready for 2 and 3.
